The beautiful Bow Ties and Bliss wedding blog recently featured Cynthia and Tim's Temecula wedding on their site. Perfect inspiration since we are coming back into Fall weddings. You can see the full post here.

Recently I learned that one of my May grooms mother passed away. It was sudden and it's hard to fathom, since the last time I saw her she was so full of life and joy at her son's wedding. Hearing this heartbreaking news fills me with such sadness and even now as I write this I need to wipe the tears from my eyes.

News like this reminds me that what I do matters. I'm not just a wedding photographer, a Mitzvah photographer or a family photographer... I am a historian. I capture moments that generations will look at for many years to come. Rick and Whitney will be able to show their children a photo of their grandmother on their wedding day and they will get to know her through these images and the others they may have. Through all the memories and photographs, she will be remembered.
This is why I am a photographer.

"Corey, it didn't take long for me to feel like I could trust you with my life. Soon after that, I realized I could trust you with my heart"

Corey and Bernice were married under an old oak tree, at the beautiful Firestone Vineyard property, on a gorgeous summer day. They were one of the most laid back couples I have worked with. They seemed to simply bask in their love for each other and the joy of having so many loving friends and family around them.
The warm summer evening was lit with a full moon as they danced under the stars. Perfect for a couple that met while working at a company in the aerospace industry and who had their rings orbit the Earth on the last space shuttle.
I loved that Bernice made her own parent boutonnieres, gorgeous hairpiece, table names, and baked the wide assortment of cakes and tiramisu (as well as made all the cake stands!). Amazing DIY talent. I vote for a Bernice Etsy Storefront! Special thanks to Leanne of Soleil Events for making this event run so smoothly. A perfect event, a perfect couple, a perfect union.... congratulations you two!

I love that the girls got flasks as well as the guys...

I love the two sides of Bernice and Corey... smoldering...

...and total goofballs...

I have enjoyed every single moment I've spent photographing Dani and Harrison... engagement session, wedding... Their love for each other is so palpable. Well, honestly, I've just loved every single moment with them, period. Needless to say I was happy to do a day after session when they decided they wanted even more portraits. Day after sessions are such a great solution when you just want to get back to your guests and party on your wedding day.
