One of the creative things I love aside from actually shooting is turning a few of my favorite shots into something a bit more artsy, textured and layered. Sometimes I just love to turn a shot into something retro and seventies because, well, I have pictures of me and my brother that I love that have that look and I'm sorta nostalgic like that. And of course I love black and white. That's what I feel in love with when photography took hold of me. Robert Frank, Henri Cartier-Bresson...

Here's a shot I loved (it's also in the header above) but wanted to pull some other emotions out of it by tweaking it in photoshop using Totally Rad actions and a texture overlay. These actions I go to daily for my editing workflow. Some for simple adjustments and some for the more artsy stuff I love to do. If you look through the posts below, you'll see some of the photos I've played with a bit and this is a look that people come to me for when ordering wall portraits. Why be ordinary?

I just got this canvas cluster for this client. You can see this above shot in the below photo to see it out of the camera. I can't wait to go over there after these are hung to take a photo for you all to see. The canvas clusters look amazing and it's a great alternative to having one huge canvas.
